Open Enrollment and District Exceptions for 2023/2024 School Year
Annual Open Enrollment and District Exception Requests for La Porte Community School Corporation for the 2023/2024 school year will be accepted from:
APRIL 1, 2023 through JUNE 1, 2023
All requests must be completed yearly in the spring for each student for the following school year. All families who are requesting an Open Enrollment/District Exception for LaPorte Community School Corporation MUST complete a new request every year for each student.

Open Enrollment/District Exception requests will be accepted from April 1, 2023 through June 1, 2023. After the Open Enrollment period closes on June 1, parents will receive a letter from the Superintendent advising them if their request has been approved. Decisions may be withheld until building-level student enrollments are identified, but prior to the first day of school.

Textbook Rental Statements Update
LaPorte Community School Corporation will be sending 2022-2023 Textbook Rental Statements via email.Paper statements will no longer be mailed out. Please look for a message on a monthly basis from Skyward showing your statement. If you have not received a statement, please utilize Skyward Family Access to see your student's textbook rental fees. As a reminder, Textbook Rental for the 2022-23 school year is now due. Payments can be made online (via Parent Portal/Skyward Family Access) or paid at the school's office with a check, money order, or credit card. (There is not an additional fee to pay online through Skyward Family Access.) Please note payments are due no later than May 31, 2023. Applications for free or reduced lunch can be completed online at https://family.titank12.com/. If you qualify for the free or reduced lunch program then you are eligible for the free textbook rental. In order to receive this benefit, you must apply and be approved during the 2022-23 school year. Any unpaid textbook rental balances after May 31, 2023 will be turned over to an outside collection agency and are subject to additional fees and legal expenses. Thank you.
LPCSC Science Adoption Committee
The LPCSC Science Adoption Committee has gone through a review process to review materials for Science adoption. As a result of the curricular review, the following resources are being considered for adoption in Grades K-4. These materials are available for parental review at the LPCSC ESC/Boston Building between 8:30-2:30 pm, May 22-June 2. Final recommendations will be made to the LPCSC Board of Trustees at the June school board meeting.
